We may write italian in a book but we don't learn from a book because if you want to learn italian you can't just go grab a book that is in a italian try and read it without knowing one word in italian.

Yep, that's right happy.gif And since Portugese, Spanish, and French are quite a bit similar, then if you know one of those languages REALLY well, it wouldn't be too hard learning one of the other two. ^^

That's OK you made a good point I made like thrice (three times) on the forum: similarities between Italian and languages in the region. I know an Italian member by the name Totallysam/*sam and wanna ask her if TS season 5 is on there. Italy does produce many cartoons like "Winx club" and whoever knows Italian could check out the Italian language version of the "Winx".

Lia, I know you're in Canada but you changed national flags (Portugal). You're of Portuguese descent? They are a large community in Canada, esp. Toronto has like 500,000 Portuguese alone, whom arrived the same time like the post-WWII Italian immigration. The pop singer Nelly Furtado is herself Canadian of Azorean parents and she sang a few Portuguese songs (and knows enough Spanish, but the Azores is Portuguese). My high school French teacher is Italo-Canadian from a section of Montreal known as "le Petite Italie".

Not yet, but I'm working on my languages from Europe. I heard it's very close to French, so I think it'd be easy to learn for me.
